Social life is straight way to reach Supreme
Real contentment can be found with God, and can be achieved through the love of God. This love is, really speaking, be natural, innate, like that between mother and child. The main purpose of human life should be to reach God. God created this universe and was very happy when he created the human being, he thought, had the capacity to love and to report to. Why, then, a human being does not have the innate love for God? The man is always looking for joy; why should not lead to lead God's love?
It seems that we make a mistake on the goal we seek to achieve. The
objective must be to achieve a state of eternal joy. If we have failed to
achieve with all our efforts and struggle, is not it obvious that we are
pursuing the wrong target?
The Lord assures us that he will give sustainable contentment if we stop
the search of worldly life. As we are now, we can not abandon worldly life. The
saints have shown us the way to belong to God without actually renounce worldly
life, and it is in this way that we must follow. We should, they say, remove
the attachment of the mind of worldly life and apply it to God, as we transfer
money from one of our pockets to another; and that will eventually give us the
lasting contentment.
We must admit that we have a need for social life; we expect that the
various things that will make up to contribute to happiness, and therefore we
direct all our efforts and fight for them. This struggle, in fact, are not
these things for themselves, but for the pleasure expect that they give. The
idea that these things will give us satisfaction, should be resolved in our
minds. Today, we expect the worldly life to our satisfaction; we must rid our
minds of this speculative concept. Until we do that we can not become true
devotees and get lasting contentment.
It is the sense of 'I' and 'mine' is the root cause of all evil. This
feeling, this deep conviction, can not be uprooted devote himself unreservedly
to Rama. Stick to numa as the only way to reach him.
